Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Rainease ("the app") plays rain, nature and ambient sounds for sleep, focus and relaxation. We built it so that it works without collecting personal data. This policy explains exactly what the app does with information.

In short: no account, no tracking, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. Your data stays on your device or in your own iCloud and Apple Health.

Information we collect

We, the developer, do not collect, receive, store or sell any personal information. The app has no servers of its own and does not send your data anywhere.

Data stored on your device

The app saves your preferences on your device: favorite sounds, saved mixes, volume and sound settings, sleep timer and alarm settings, reminder settings and listening statistics (such as minutes listened and streaks). This data never leaves your device unless you use iCloud sync (below). Deleting the app removes it.

iCloud sync (optional)

If iCloud sync is on, your favorites and saved mixes are stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so they appear on your other devices. We cannot access this data. You can turn iCloud sync off at any time in the app's Settings.

Apple Health (optional)

If you turn on Apple Health in the app's Settings and grant permission, Rainease saves each listening session of at least one minute to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes (start and end time only).

Rainease only writes Mindful Minutes. It does not read any data from Apple Health.
Health data is stored by Apple in the Health app on your device (and in iCloud if you use Health sync). It is never sent to us or to any third party, and it is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining.
You can stop this at any time in the app's Settings, and remove access or delete saved samples in the Health app.

Notifications

Alarms, sleep timer messages and optional reminders (bedtime, streak and weekly summary) are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push-notification service or server is involved. You can turn notifications off in the app or in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Subscriptions and free trials are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether your subscription is active.

Tracking and third parties

The app does not track you across apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier, and contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. Crash reports you choose to share with developers through iOS are provided by Apple in anonymized form.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
